What the Anubis collection could mean for Counter Strike 2
Recently Valve announced the Anubis Collection. The map was added to the competitive Map pool and will be played at the Paris major.
You can find the Blog post here.
Unlike any other Collection case before the Anubis Collection you can buy it from the ingame Store. This could mean that in Counter Strike 2 Valve will abandon the concept of getting Case drops from playing. This was a very profitable source of income for many players. They also "lost" a lot of money on the sale of the Case only the Steam tax while with the concept of buying only the Case directly from Valve they make all the money
How can you profit from the Anubis Collection
The odds of getting a expensive skin are extremley low.
Here are the odds for the Anubis Collection:
Item | Chance | Chance in % |
---|---|---|
COVERT | 1 / 3906 | 0.0256% |
CLASSIFIED | 5 / 3906 | 0.128% |
RESTRICTED | 25 / 3906 | 0.64% |
MIL-SPEC | 125 / 3906 | 3.2% |
INDUSTRIAL | 625 / 3906 | 16% |
CONSUMER | 3125 / 3906 | 80% |
So the chance of getting a Covert skin is 0.0256% and the chance of getting a Consumer grade skin is 80%. This means that the odds of getting a Classified "pink" skin are the same as getting a knife in normal cases.
Prices are still high but because there is nearly unlimited supply they will only continue to drop. The lower price to unbox them will also be cheaper than other skins. This will make them ideal for Tradeup contracts. Once the Major ends and the Case stops dropping the prices will shoot up due to the high demand. Thats why you should look into this opprtunity
